Graduating seniors are cordially invited to the Graduation Focus Group event on Reading Day, Thursday, April 27th 11:30 am – 1:00 pm in the Student Success Center (three walking minutes from D.M. Smith). During this meeting we will discuss your opinion about the Public Policy program and your overall experience as a college student. This is an opportunity for your voice to be heard in a safe space. Your opinion matters to us!

Graduation & Awards Banquet

The School of Public Policy will be hosting its annual Graduation & Awards Banquet on Thursday, April 13th at Atlanta City Hall. Dinner will be served following the formal presentation of awards. The banquet will feature keynote speaker Professor Alondra, former interim director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.

1. What do you do?
I lead interdisciplinary teams on sustainability projects, including engineers, scientists, communications, economists, and sales/marketing people. I typically work shoulder-to-shoulder with executives to assess performance, scope projects, conduct R&D, and help implement system solutions.
2. What's the coolest part of your job?
Helping people unlock their passion to find solutions for complex problems. The educational piece — it's always two-way.
Center for Urban Research Launch
The Center for Urban Research is a partnership between the Georgia Institute of Technology and the City of Atlanta Office of the Mayor, focused on collaborative solutions to address socio-economic inequities in urban areas—bringing academic expertise across the state to the work being done on the ground.
