Undergraduate Minors

Expand Your Degree with Policy Insight

No matter your major, a minor or certificate from the School of Public Policy gives you the tools to understand how policy shapes technology, science, and society — and how you can help shape the future.

Our programs strengthen your ability to analyze data, evaluate policy, and engage with pressing global issues. Designed to complement both STEM and liberal arts degrees, they prepare students to lead, innovate, and make informed decisions in every field.

Minors

Minors require 15 credit hours and appear on your official transcript. They’re ideal for students who want to deepen their understanding of governance, ethics, and public policy while developing practical skills in research, communication, and leadership.

Certificates

Certificates require 12 credit hours and offer a focused way to explore specialized topics such as law, sustainability, or social innovation. Certificates do not appear on transcripts but are recognized by the School each year with a digital certificate.
