The Minor in Collaborative Social Innovation provides students with the skills and experiences necessary to improve the human condition through practical, challenge-focused activities. By engaging in cross-disciplinary approaches, students learn to tackle complex societal issues through effective collaboration, social impact analysis, and sustainable design thinking.
The program focuses on three core pillars:
Collaboration: Develop leadership and teamwork skills centered on project management, effective communication, and navigating conflict while learning to manage risk and grow from failure.
Social Impact: Gain a transdisciplinary understanding of complex problems with a focus on improving human well-being and evaluating the success of those efforts.
Innovation and Design Thinking: Apply design thinking to construct novel, feasible, and sustainable solutions for modern challenges.
