Biography:

Since graduating with her B.S. in Public Policy in 2013, Merry Hunter has worked in consulting, served in the roles of Education Policy Advisor and Deputy Director of Communications for Governor Nathan Deal, and now is the Program Manager for Economic Development at Georgia Tech. In this role, Merry Hunter works to develop corporate innovation partnerships with the Institute, as well as foster continued collaboration with city and state economic development efforts. In addition, she serves as the President Emeritus of the Georgia Tech Young Alumni Council, a steering committee member of the Georgia Tech Capitol Jackets, and a committee co-lead of Georgia Tech’s Workforce of the Future initiative. Merry Hunter graduated with a master’s degree in Human Communication and Social Influence, focusing specifically on crisis rhetoric of college leadership, from Georgia State University in 2017, and is currently pursuing her M.B.A. from Georgia Tech.
