Current Job: Associate for the Education Equity Program at The Leadership Conference on Civil Human Rights
Biography:

Shekinah Hall graduated from Georgia Tech in 2019 with a B.S. in Public Policy, with concentrations in Politics and Policy and Social Policy, and a minor in Social Justice. She currently works in Washington, D.C. at The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights as the Associate for the Education Equity Program. In this role, Shekinah is responsible for supporting grant management, project management, legislative research and policy advocacy, and coordination among national and state coalition partners.

Prior to her work in education policy, she served as the Assistant for the All Voting is Local team at The Leadership Conference — a collaborative campaign focused on combating voter suppression in eight key states across the U.S. — providing administrative and operational support for the national and state-based teams as well as leading special projects.

While at Georgia Tech, Shekinah was active in several campus organizations such as Grand Challenges, Student Government Association, Ivan Allen Student Ambassadors, The Technique, and Mock Trial. In addition to her extracurricular activities, she had a number of internships, including with the Coweta Judicial Circuit, the U.S. House of Representatives, and GeorgiaLink Public Affairs Group. She also completed the European Union Study Abroad Program, earning a certificate in European Affairs.

Outside of work, Shekinah enjoys mentoring and tutoring younger students, reading autobiographies, and experimenting with new recipes.
