Bekah is a Georgia native who attended GT's School of Public Policy, completing the 5 year BS/MS program before staying on to complete her PhD in organization theory and quantitative methods. At the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Bekah conducts research and analysis of policy interventions to inform evidence-based policy strategies to improve population health. She has worked on an HIV prevention project that analyzes those policy interventions that have been most successful at curbing rates of HIV, as well as the different contexts and environments where those policies have been impactful. The goal is to provide policy-makers with evidence of strategies to address problems that are most suitable to them. Bekah also coaches soccer, is a yogi, plays piano, and has a cat named Preston Burke.
