Biography:

Chris Calvi is a proud 2004 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy.

While at GT, Chris interned at Rep. John Lewis's district office in Atlanta. After graduation, he worked on the first, and ultimately victorious, congressional race of Allyson Schwartz in Philadelphia. Chris then packed his bags, headed west, and started his career in tech.

A veteran of search products with over fifteen years of experience, Chris now serves as Head of Octopart, leading a team of passionate folks dedicated to enabling the electronic part discovery efforts of millions of engineers each year. Prior to Octopart, Chris was instrumental in bringing Shopzilla's hugely successful consumer product search API to market.

Chris has overseen the Octopart operation for several years during a time of exponential growth of traffic, searches, and revenue, as a wholly owned subsidiary of Altium, the global leader in PCB design tools.
