Overview

Alexis Fontaine earned both her Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Management and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of West Georgia. She launched her academic advising career at the University of West Georgia in 2013 where she also began teaching as an adjunct instructor before venturing out to teach Principles of Management at West Georgia Technical College. In 2017, Alexis continued her advising career in the College of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Over the years, Alexis created and led many initiatives, served on planning, search, and scholarship committees, and continued to sharpen her skills through various courses, workshops, and professional networks.

In 2022, Alexis prepares to begin her career as Academic Program Manager I in the School of Public Policy. In her new role, while learning the Public Policy curriculum, Alexis hopes to take time to build a rapport with the students, faculty, and staff within the School. Alexis hopes her holistic advising philosophy, as well as her innovative and proactive mindset, will allow her to become an invaluable member of the School of Public Policy.
