Derek is a Lead Business Program Specialist at Deloitte Global. In his role, he supports the Global Clients & Industries' Executive and Council board members by providing leadership support, strategic guidance, and operational support on key initiatives and investments for Deloitte globally. As a member of a global community, Derek works in partnership with international teams to develop and delivery enterprise wide programs for Deloitte member firms around the world.
Derek's previous experience with Deloitte Consulting was focused on organization transformation within Human Capital. As a Human Capitalist, Derek drove business value by improving an organization’s greatest asset, its people. Derek’s background includes a combination of organization and workforce transformations leveraging skill sets in design thinking, organizational design, training design, and leadership development. In addition, he has supported variety of c-suite operational and mission focused clients that face complex global challenges (2015 Zika and 2014 Ebola response).
Before starting at Deloitte in July 2014, Derek graduated with “Highest Honors” (Summa Cum Laude) from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Public Policy and a minor in Law, Science and Technology. In addition, he also spent a summer abroad at the University of Oxford studying computer science and engineering. While at Georgia Tech, Derek obtained essential work experience with government leadership offices at the state and federal levels.
