Biography:

Laura Powell is currently a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Evan J. Wallach on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit located in Washington, DC where she is responsible for, among other things, drafting opinions, preparing her judge for oral arguments, and researching complex issues of the law.  The Federal Circuit has exclusive jurisdiction over appeals in the areas such as patent law and international trade. Prior to clerking at the Federal Circuit, she was a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Gregory M. Sleet in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware out of law school.  She graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy in 2013, where she was a student athlete, and obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2017.  She is barred to practice law in Washington, DC and Georgia.
