Biography: | Caitlin Daugherty Kokenes graduated with her Master of Science in Public Policy from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2013. Her concentration was environmental policy, and during the program, she completed an internship with the nonprofit environmental organization the Georgia Conservancy. Currently, she works as a senior account manager for U.S. News & World Report on the Hospital Data Insights team. Hospital Data Insights is a software that allows hospitals to access the unpublished granular data that underpins the U.S. News Best Hospitals rankings & ratings. Prior to this role, Caitlin served as head of operations for Knarr Analytics, a data analysis software product that was acquired by Qlik. Before that, she worked as the founding Communications and Engagement Manager for redefinED Atlanta, an education advocacy organization working to improve the quality of schools within the City of Atlanta. In this role, she worked to increase support and awareness for the needs of public schools across Atlanta. Caitlin also previously served as a project associate for the nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education, identifying best practices in public education and advocating for improved student outcomes in Georgia. She has a passion for improving public education and worked as a teacher and tutor before entering the Master of Science in Public Policy program at Georgia Tech. Caitlin holds a Master of Hispanic Studies from Auburn University as well as a B.A. in Political Science and Spanish from Auburn University. She is an active participant in multiple volunteer programs including serving as a Team Leader for HeadCount a nonpartisan nonprofit organization that works to register voters throughout the U.S.
