After graduating with honors from Georgia Tech’s School of Public Policy in May 2005, Sara went to law school at Georgia State University College of Law. During her time at Georgia Tech, she served as the Captain of the Georgia Tech Mock Trial team, which sparked her interest to pursue law school and a career as a trial attorney. Her thesis focused on court rulings related to LGBTQ rights.

Sara graduated with honors from GSU College of Law in May 2008, successfully passed the bar exam, and started practicing in the Products Liability group at Alston & Bird LLP in September 2008. While at GSU, Sara received awards for receiving the top grade in several of her classes, an award for her dedication to pro bono work, and was an Associate Editor for the Law Review.

In 2010, Sara went to Greenberg Traurig LLP in Atlanta to pursue trial work in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Litigation group. Sara was elevated to Shareholder at Greenberg Traurig in 2017. In 2019, Sara moved to Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP as a Partner in their Mass Torts group continuing to focus on pharmaceutical and medical device litigation nationwide. Sara has been on trial teams for Fortune 500 companies and has litigated biotech cases in both federal and state courts. Sara has represented companies across a wide range of pharmaceutical, medical device, and biological products and works closely with physicians, scientists, and engineers to defend these companies from tort litigation in jurisdictions throughout the country. Sara also advises companies (ranging from cutting-edge start-ups to major global companies) regarding product labeling, liability, and risk mitigation strategies.

The American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division selected Sara for its “On the Rise – Top 40 Young Lawyers” award in 2019, which recognizes the top 40 young lawyers in the country. Sara has also been recognized as a Rising Star by Georgia Super Lawyers magazine for each of the past five years.

Sara is a passionate advocate for women and LGBTQ issues. She has provided pro bono representation in cases ranging from abortion to asylum. She also participates in the LGBT Bar Association, the Out Georgia Business Alliance, and the Stonewall Bar Association.
