1. What do you do?

Draft constituent correspondence, support the Chief of Staff and other senior staff, and plan and coordinate events that advance the Senator’s legislative priorities.

2. What’s the coolest part of your job?

Meeting our nation’s officials and helping constituents receive the assistance they need.

3. Why are you passionate about it?

I am passionate about my role as a Senate staffer because I love serving my community and because I believe that public policy can improve people’s lives.

4. Which skills from Georgia Tech and your public policy degree have helped you be successful in this career?

My skills in policy analysis, clear and concise communication, and working collaboratively with others have helped me be successful in this career.

5. What’s your #1 tip for students and alumni interested in your field?

My number one tip for students and alumni interested in this field is to expand your network by making connections and staying in touch with the people you meet. These connections will prove invaluable as you search for opportunities on Capitol Hill.
