Dual M.S. in Public Policy and City and Regional Planning

Students in the Dual Degree in Public Policy and City and Regional Planning receive two master’s degrees, one in Public Policy and the other in City and Regional Planning. The program requires 75 credit hours, saving 16 credit hours compared to pursuing the degrees separately.

Why Public Policy and City and Regional Planning?

This unique combination prepares students for policy analysis and planning work at the national, state, and local levels. Graduates work in public, private, and non-profit settings, building on the complementary perspectives and skills of the two professions.

How to Apply

Students wishing to enroll in the dual degree program must apply separately and be admitted independently to each program: the Master’s of City and Regional Planning and the Master of Science of Public Policy.

It is strongly recommended that students apply to the dual degree program before beginning studies in either program. Current students must apply no later than the end of their second semester of study in the first program.
