Michael Elliott, Associate Professor, Schools of City and Regional Planning & Public Policy, has been appointed to the National Research Council’s Committee on Inherently Safer Chemical Processes. The committee is examining approaches used by chemical manufacturing facilities for the management of chemical process risks, especially in the use of particularly hazardous chemicals, and in the potential for replacing risky processes with inherently safer ones.
