Biography:

Heather Johnston is a program analyst for the newly created Atlanta-region Transit Link (ATL) Authority (2018 - HB 930), where she helps improve transportation in the State of Georgia. Here, Heather manages grants, analyzes Georgia transit programs, and works to create better coordination within the Atlanta region. In addition to her responsibilities at the ATL Authority, Heather serves on the Ad Hoc Fulton County Health Disparities board.

Heather is a 2017 graduate of Georgia Tech’s School of Public Policy. She attended Georgia Tech on a full ride and was a Georgia Tech Promise Student, president of Acts of Kindness, member of the Student Council's Sustainability and Wellness boards, and a member of the judicial cabinet. While in school. Heather held many internships including Energy on the Hill in Washington, DC, Legislative Intern for the State Administrative Office of the Courts, and Student Coordinator at the College of Computing. Additionally, Heather invested time writing while in school, and her articles can be found in the Georgia Tech IAC Blog, TechStyle, The Odyssey, CATMEDIA blog, and more.
